Looking fantastic Pete. Some great history and photos, it will be good to photograph Anita back in the car. Who's doing the body / paintwork ? ( I've probably missed that earlier in the thread ).......looks quality workmanship :D

Out of interest, Pete, did you restore and refit the original doors, or keep the ones that were on it and save the originals as they were, albeit with the archeological sanding??

Al
Thanks chaps. Ive kept the doors separate Al. They’re restorable but I just think it’s nice to show the timeline. Could always fit them later if I change my mind. I still want to see if I can find the two different door roundels it had, that’s if they were painted on.

This is a cracker I found of the car at Mallory by Hugh Miller, not been able to find this race yet.

I assumed that was probably what you had done, and as you have them, probably a prudent and practical decision.

Not yet Dave but Nev gave me the tip off for the rear view mirror, which is an Eversure M353. There was an unchromed one sold on EBay recently! If anyone spots another I’d really appreciate a private message!

I’ve collated most of the races from the 1964 and 1965 seasons now , some to add I’m sure, and all the post ‘65 events still to do.

1964 Season Aurora Gear Racing. Anita Taylor

30/03 Goodwood - St Mary’s Trophy #107
11/04 Oulton Park - National Spring Meeting #76
18/04 Aintree - International 200 #146
16/05 Aintree - National #9
18/05 Crystal Palace - Small Car Trophy #80
O4/07 Silverstone - Martini Trophy #16
11/07 Brands Hatch - European Grand Prix - Molyslip Trophy #77
03/08 Brands Hatch - Molyslip Trophy #162
19/09 Oulton Park Gold Cup #71

Trevor also raced at many of these events in his Aurora car, on his own at Silverstone (02/05) plus they both raced his car at the Brands Hatch 6 Hrs on 06/06 .

Anita also raced 110 NNM at Mallory Park early in the season, just looking for the date. There was an ETCC round there on 16th May but only for 1 litre cars.

Pete, I am intrigued by your research, your attention to detail and all the history you come up with. Enjoying every new post and picture.
Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s :ugeek:

Thanks, glad you’re enjoying it. Picked up a few programmes, most of the first two seasons anyway, and a nice original British GP sticker. I’ll get back to the car shortly.
