many people comented on how nice it was to see an original car, rather than one thats been rechromed and painted.
the only major paint work that this one has had was when the passenger front wing was repainted in the 1950's, when the previous owner crashed it (and turned out not to be insured - whoops!) - the paint has cracked and crazed on that wing and now looks worse than the rest of the car
this car was bought by the previous owner for his girlfriend (then a 21 year old) in the 1950's - she used it as an everyday car, before salting it way - it sat unused until the mid 1980's when they used it very little - unfortunatly it had a bit of bodging done in the early 1990's - most of which ive managed to get rid of and repair.
it drives great, pulls well and looks fantastic - the real shame is that cars like this are getting bought and broken up to be turned into replica vintage bentleys as that sort of thing is very popular in europe.
the original owner of this car bought it and arranged for it to be delivered on christmas day 1934 - a nice present for someone!
this ones a keeper and will be left as it is - it will certainly never be rechromed, trimmed or painted whilst we own it
