Would help if I was to remember he was remembered as Alec and not Alex - well that is dyslexai for you....

There must be loads of lost membarobilia associated with ALEC and Austin-Morris that would fetch lots, no doubt. He was a true maverick working for an international conglomerate, albeit more or less semi-state owned. You don't see his kind working for large companies these days, take BP for example - say no more.....

Link has good few photos. The Design Museum is well worth a visit when you are in the smoke next, has a lot on car designers, Ogilvy was being featured there last time I visited a few years back. Loads of chairs too - chairs seem to be the year nought of design. Be able to design a chair, then you can design a car, or anything else, it seems!

Too right coop. But to others about, I do mean a chair for grannies sitting room, not in a car at all, that sort of chair, a mk1 chair!
