Hi Doc
I am not an engineer, just an enthusiast but I must admit the work you are doing and regular updates has really made me happy while in LOCKDOWN. Perhaps I might be dislexic but this Carowner virus is somethin else. Thank you.

How can you register this car? Isn't TUV very strict?

Of course TÜV is very strict. But they not only make car owners life difficult, they are also engineers. And if they are involved in such a project already druing planing, they like to help too.

Next panels are the quarter panel extensions. In this state it’s all about measuring, fixing, rechecking, clamping and starting from the beginning. After I was happy with all the dimensions, my gas torch flame up again and I welded the quarter panels to the tail panels.

Some careful planishing followed by cleaning the welds and the complete tail section is done. I must admit, I’m a little proud.   8-)

As mentioned by many - terrific work.

In case it will be of help in the future - I am storing on behalf of the owner the original Broadspeed mini race car, if you need details as you move forward I'm sure we could make this happen. I have sent a link to the owner to alert him and would need his permission but I'm sure he would be happy to do so....

Before anyone gets the idea that the Broadspeed tail would also make a great piece of furniture or wall decoration, I preferred to quickly weld it to the bodyshell. And this is how it looks like.
