the seller doesn´t say anything if its a australian or south african car. australians had smaller rear number plate carriers. first black cooper I would love to own ;)

Possibly SA with the wording on the number plate?

I'd say a Sth A car...

We never got the Austin Grille, larger rear window or that style of VIN,

Same doors though ;)

The Oz mk 2's retained the mk 1 rear lamps and grill also.

If the Mk II S is truly South African assembled (all S models in S.A. were CKDs and not manufactured there) it is a rare car indeed. Only 31 were assembled in S.A.

I can confirm that JOBURG GP is Johannesburg, Gauteng Province, South Africa.

Unbelievable car! Sad that another one escaped SA though.
