Re: British Vita 1968 transporter
Few more project pictures
Donor chassis rails from Leyland terrier on top of the FJ K140 chassis 2 speed rear axle on the FJ K140 Mowog differential casing from the donor Leyland Terrier.
Did not know that tey produced such heavy castings for HGV applications. Does anyone recognise the BMC badge on the front of the Vita Transporter?
Can't seem to find any reference to it so it may be a unique item as all the FJ pictures are either Morris or Austin badged.

Re: British Vita 1968 transporter
I don't think I've ever seen (noticed) them on a backing piece like that before, always individual letters. Wonder if it was unique to that cab style?

Re: British Vita 1968 transporter
Hi Graeme
It was a bit of an unusual truck altogether and not very popular from all accounts.
The normal 3 1/2" BMC script might also have looked a bit tight in the space as its not flat.
I don't suppose I will ever find one, so I may need to befriend someone with a 3D printer

Re: British Vita 1968 transporter
Looking through various Google images there are photos of them both with and without the rectangular piece, even in similar years. I see some of them are also badged a Morris.

Re: British Vita 1968 transporter
That’s interesting
Just like mini’s no consistency!!
The truck I have acquired as the base is badged as an Austin
I guess it depended on the end dealer back in the day

Re: British Vita 1968 transporter
Collected the donor truck/body yesterday.
Almost the correct dimensions just needs a height reduction and modifications to give side door access to crew compartment.
Anyone want an Iveco 130E18 Chassis cab unit?
Drove beautifully without any issues at all.
Body will be removed asap.
