Tremendous work and love the old slip over seat cover with raised side bolsters in one of the early photos, that is a real period peice from the 70's!

Re: austin mini cooper s 1966 USA import
Good news !
I now have a logbook v5c for the cooper s!
I sent off my application when I first imported it at the start of lock down.
I waited 2 months for a letter back saying please send the original usa title to us.
I sent them a photocopy that was signed by a local car club to say they seen the original. I didnt want the original one getting lost in the post.
I sent the usa title in.
2 months later
Letter back. We want to inspect it
At that point it was a bare shell good paint inside and out but was planning to do more filler work on the outside and another coat.
I just put it back together needing another coat of paint and bit more filler work at some point.
3 weeks had it back together. starts drive etc.
SGS Inspected it. Nice chap . True car fan. Loved the cooper S. Told him all about it. He was off to see a e type jag next lol.
Got a letter back the following week quoting a reg number and saying due to covid 19 and inspection your 6 month date of the check is now out of date. Please send us a new cheque lol
I done that and a week later a logbook.
So I think I got good customer service from the Dvla!
Glad its sorted.
Thanks
Peter

Looks great. This has to be the fastest transformation I have ever seen especially with a completely new floor!
Amazing

Well done. I presume the new floor was from m-machine. Did you have any problem when it came to clamping the front part of the tunnel to the middle of the toeboard?

Yes sometimes It Needs teasing in to place. In the past I have had to drill a couple of holes and nut and bolt it to hold it in to position. Or Self tapers. Once in place fill the holes up with weld.
Thanks
