Manifolds on, and started fitting the master cylinders only to find the remaining pipe for the brake master isn’t long enough!

Had a centre exit Peco back in the day, so thought I’d go back to a side exit. Loving the look of it!!
Can’t wait to hear what it sounds like
Better get me finger out this weekend!

Whipped the carb apart last thing today to stick in the ultrasonic cleaner overnight.

No wonder, as you seem to even defy gravity and BTW thanks for the reminder to go shopping before Lidl closes
Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s

Re: 1961 Austin Se7en
Brought the doors down from the back office to get them ready to go back on.
Knocked up some stainless studs and lock-tighted them in for under the wings.
Upside down to run a bit of waxoyle under the seams of the window sliding channel.
Point of interest - Cannot recommend the hinge gaskets from Miniworld Manufacturing highly enough!!
The generic ones that everyone seems to sell disintegrated after they were trial fitted and really did not fit well.
These ones are brilliant!!

Carb came out quite clean really.
Might have a bit of a go at polishing the dashpot at some point, but just wanted to try and get it fired up over the weekend.

Re: 1961 Austin Se7en
As ever, a fair bit of fiddling around to get things fitting a bit nicer than before.
Ended up using two abutment plates!
One for the cable (once fitted) mounted to the manifold face and one mounted the other side of the carb spacer to give a proper mounting point for the throttle return spring.
Fitted the powerspark dizzy and static timed it.
Slung on the Dynamator (so I had somewhere to rest the coil!)
Egg cup of fuel in the float chamber and ..........
it’s alive!!!
No hoses or coolant at the moment, so just ran it up to see how it sounds! And it sounds gooooood!!!
