Early window catches.

Post by ERF »

With one of the 1960 Mini's I recently purchased came a quantity of NOS window catches.

They are all original Wilmot Breeden manufactured items, but I have noticed at least three variations in detail.

Obviously the ones with a fixed boss were fitted from late 1959 (car 12000 ish?), but some of the earlier catches seem to have been chromed before the boss was removed, some chromed after, some of the later type have a shorter return under the slide runner, some have a screwed on plate......anybody know why?.

They are all as made, and have definately not been fiddled with.

Here is a pic of just two types, but it shows some of the changes.

If anybody needs these early catches without a boss I have several of each - all NOS.
£15 each including P&P.

All the early catches have now sold - but I would still be curious to learn why the changes took place.

Sorry I haven't figured out how to PM.

I would be interested in a matching set of four. With a boss since my windows have the hole.

Cheers

Sorry Todd, I was only selling the early ones.
I need the ones with a boss.
