what you have is a mini speedo body into which some one has has put a mileometer and trip unit from another smiths type speedo from possibly an mgb mg midget triumphs reliant scimitar etc i see from the photos you have an empty mgb type speedo case (top right) i suggest that is were your mini innards originally came from.
