This is the one from my car which i picked up at beaulieu a couple of years ago for a tenner! It is a really thick casting with "Aston Services" cast underneath it?!? Any clues where its from??? :?

Looks like it has a second nut on top to hold the coil bracket on.

This is one i scooped locally (in South Africa) years ago, had it bead blasted, then it ended up funding a Mini Spares north shopping trip when i sold it to Mk1 himself 8-)

here is one (dont think the Black colour is correct?) all others I have seen (incl my own, which is all original) has been light Red.
well I stand corrected  the Black colour was the later type.

Here is a picture of the JanSpeed Cooper S, which was made in 1989.

This car is all original/unrestored, since it was built.

many years ago a guy came into work and said 'i have a old mini on my drive, im going back to the states, if you want it its £50, if not its going to the scrap'

i sauntered round and there was a 1973 red mini, covered in green slime, looked terrible. i was going to not bother as it was so bad, then i popped the bonnet and it had proper alloy downton rocker box on it. needless to say i paid the guy and we towed the heap away! it also had a set of reverse s rims on it

i sold the box to mark f (not for much at all, he knew where it came from! ), but the most amazing thing was the mini, i put one c.v boot on it, paid someone to weld some cover sills and patches on it, mot'd it, stuck 6 months tax on it and flogged it for about 500 quid!.

the shame is that the guy who bought it went on holiday, left it parked on the street and someone hiab'd it away.
please note, these are my own, individual sales, nothing whatsoever to do with my employer, minispares

Slightly off topic, but on the monza filler caps, when they are say 2 inch, is that the size after the collar is fitted or before? I'm after one for my HRG and don't know what to order.

Hi can anyone confirm that my rocker cover is a Motoplus? Looks like the one on the first page of this thread.

It has been sat outside for a long time so is going to need a serious polish!

Might send it off to get polished if its worth doing.
