Mk1 wiring loom in mk2 69 cooper?
Is it odd that my mk2 69 cooper has a mk1 loom fitted? Do you think it was retro fitted by somebody years ago?

Re: Mk1 wiring loom in mk2 69 cooper?
Very possible, when I restored my mk2 first time in the 80’s I bought quite a few mk1 parts including loom from a breakers to get it on the road, the loom was pretty easy to use and just needed a few changes regards dip switch and horn from what I remember, I more recently fitted a new full loom to mk2 spec though on recent resto, back then I just fitted what I could find mainly because I didn’t really know the differences and mk1 cars were plentiful in the scrap yard I went to.

Should be fabric in the rear, plastic in the front for a mk2?
I've got a 69 Mini with a 1046, Cooper Head and a four on the floor.
