Discovered an anorak tidbit today

Post by ORX7F »

I was happily putting my stuff in order today in the garage ( my favorite chore, other than actually driving the Min!), and I was rummaging into the mk1 indicator arms, while checking what was needing a refurb ( I also need to know who does repair job on indicators, rebuilding the lighted tip ), and I went noticing an odd fact: I had 2 "maimed" arms, both are marked 6/65, and one had cotton braid over the cables, while the other had the later plastic one. Could it be I discovered a changing point?

I had a similar anorak moment when going through electrical stuff

On the same component, I have noticed two bulb styles, bayonet and screw type. What's with that?

Hi Paul,
I don't think CKD cars would have had anything but Lucas England switches. The rest of the switch looks identical but I can't recall if it is Lucas marked or not.
