I hope you dont mind me sharing my non-mini but kinda minis...
After the minus, i was driving a mk2 VW scirocco, it was a good car, but the craving for a classic meant that i just couldnt take it anymore!!
so, the scirocco sold and i went onto the good old ebay! I had three rules, 1. Tax Exempt, 2. A-series, and 3. Had to have 6 months MOT minimum...
I like to look at a car first before i buy it, but this time, with some Gin in my belly and a matter of hours left on the listing, i threw in a bid not expecting to win.... but i did, £640... 12 months MOT, 1275, and registered 1971...
Hahaaa! he's a little stunner! the paint is a bit tatty, but the underside is solid, the engine is sweet as a nut, 64800 genuine miles and its WELL comfy!! I want a mini on hydro now!!
Next up is the Missus' new motor! she passed her test last week and looking for insurance on corsas, puntos, polos, the usual new driver motors and it coming back around the 2K mark, i said, well why not look at 80's cars and get it on a classic policy... eBay again, and a 30 min trip later and we came home with her first car! and it was only £400 to insure
1984 mk1 MG metro! 20,000 on the clock goes like the clappers and she loves it!
Hope you like the newest members of the team! I have a new unit now, and my dads mk2 cooper is eagerly awaiting to get moved in! along with my mk3 so mini updates soon i promise!

I love those Metros. I am suprised you found one so complete. I'd have it if it was near me. As for the 1300, much underated these days, but a top seller in it's day means it was and still is good.

OOOooo, very nice. My old man had a 1300 estate and I did a lot of miles in it just after I passed my test.
Very lucky to find an unmolested MG metro as well.
Looks to be 2 perfect buys. Jealous now.
