Even though my repro chrome bumpers were a good fit I had decided to drill the bumpers for 5 bolts to hold them down more secure, I used my old five bolt bumper to mark the holes, afterwards was convinced the original bumpers were the way to go, amazing how much easier they fit and line up.
I called acf Howell for a quote and presently surprised that to rechrome an original 5 bolt bumper is £125 plus vat,
Only issue is currently 12 week turnaround, looks like a winter project.
Glad I kept the originals now.

Re: Bumpers rechrome
Daz...that is a pretty good price on the re-chrome....and yes, original 5 bolt bumper is the way to go.
Like you...I hung onto all of mine....however, chroming is a bit expensive here.....I pay approx. $250-$300 per bumper...(approx. 150 to 180pounds)
Still, you end up with a great looking bumper that has the correct contours.

Re: Bumpers rechrome
I’d recommend trying Doug Taylor Metal Finishing in Weston Super Mare.
We’ve had Corsair, Metropolitan and Moggy bumpers and grills done by them and they always put out great plating.
