Hi ,

went to see a remote gearbox today and the number was 22G486, it was a bit dark were it was so not 100% sure it is correct, any clues to what this could be from.

£200? Was it rebuilt recently? I bought one the other day for 50 euros. And we are short of boxes here.
846 is a elf case, yes, 4 synchro, std gears (22g927 laygear).

i have a 59 car with one of these boxes in converted to remote
is it a 3.44 or a 3,78 final drive, ??? ,as most u see are 1128 casings

Mine was 3.76, but I cannot guarantee it was the original diff.

think mines a 3.7 but not checked
for my sins,i own a 1957 wolsleley 1500
