IOM international cancelled 27-29th Oct 2011

Gutted like a fish.

We were so looking forward to this one and spent a small fortune in time and money on the car.

Just in case anyone was making plans to go over.

Here's hoping we get the ferry fees back!! :( :( :(

why was it cancelled?

its a huge event, and like you say, there will have been a lot of money laid out by many people
please note, these are my own, individual sales, nothing whatsoever to do with my employer, minispares

Apparently with the MSA pushing it so far back in the calander, the Irish boys strugged to get over and also it seems the speedcat schedual changes so they dont run or have limited runs to the island.

Funnily enough, I didn't have a issue booking mine from Liverpool earlier this week??!!!

Now your not telling me that they didn't consider island access when the MSA moved it from it's normal late July slot??? hmmm me thinks something smells.

Damm shame though, the roads are fantastic and the event is always a winner.

Sounds like a right balls up, plus championship organisers have pulled the plug.Only foot and mouth has stopped this rally just once before.

I go to the IOM for the bikes, and I know that the seacat from Ireland stops now at the end of september. Only way from here to manx land after this is via the mainland, meaning 2 trips each way, on the dearest stretch of water in the world!
