Nice video, excellent.

Some interesting cars there, Volvos, Renault, Riley 1500, Fiats, VW beetle, Saab 93, as well as the Mini 850. That Saab could be a Saab GT750 limited edition maybe. Even an Austin A40 in the middle of the front row start grid.

Well, bill, I wasn't going to big it up, to show how useless the rest of the field was, but yes, the rest of 1960 europe car making had to get on their knees to the Mini 848, mildely tuned, say a couple of horsepower above thirty-five.

I think this is the result of that race
http://homepage.mac.com/frank_de_jong/R ... races.html

Driver with moustache is Tonio Hildebrand He won it outright.

Zandvoort didn't had any gravel pits or what so ever as a safety standard.
Tarzanbocht was in the early days much steaper as it is now. but still has it's charm from the early days. To bad they had to built a holliday park near the circuit. As well on the spot where the famous F1 crash was of Roger Williamson.
