Vale Mini - Worcestershire

Post by Pete »

Anyone had any dealings with this business ?

http://www.vale-mini.co.uk/

A good mate of mine has just had his arse well and truly slapped by them after many months of lies and deceit over a simple engine build during which his original engine and Slark head was sold to somebody else (!!) many promises were broken, a miriad of lies told to try and get rid of him (you know the usual- van's broken down, we've had a flood, plague of locusts, I'm terminally ill type stuff... ) and eventually after many months of chasing the fella down and endless phonecalls of empty promises another engine was hastily knocked up with a faked 'SRE' stamped head on it which is only fit for scrap, totally wrong gearbox on it etc all of which he had to physically threaten him to enable collection yesterday after about two years of aggro.

My mate was a numpty to pay him up front  and so made his own luck to a degree and I know times are tough but feck me there really are some rogues out there in the Mini game.

Not one I have come across Pete.

They sound like an outfit that is well avoided.

Thanks for the heads up.

The original owner was to be avoided

The current owner is a lot more straightforward

Everyone has an off day but the way Steve's been repeatedly lied to and cheated is an absolute farce.

Bought my mini off them (vale mini - Evesham I think it was) same people / place?
The bodges i've found on it are well documented and not indicative of any pre sale checkover, but i was overall happy. As happy as you can be buying a car sight unseen on ebay!!
They dont have a good rep, i recall some fairly heated discussions on turbominis regarding the engines offered on ebay and across various forums.

I've seen this engine and it's a big pile of shit, suggestion for you,go for your money through the courts online service,it's easy and effective,is he a ltd company ?,if so go for your money through the courts, demand your money back if you then get no joy, wind the company up,that's also easy.he's also fraudulently sold you fake parts so you could also sue him.once you start the procedure it's very hard for him to stop it. We've had to do it a few times and it's quite evil !!
