looking ti id this gearbox case i have, it has had sides ground out and they must of gone though as it has been welded and hard to make out numbers , this is a remote type box and takes a cooper type remote

The obliterated number looks like 22G68. Which makes it a 3 synchro A or B gear case. Could be 997 or 998 Cooper.
