Minisprint TGF800F

Just to let everyone who has viewed this topic know that I have eventually acquired two pairs of the original Cibie concave headlamp units for TGF800F complete with all mounting components, seals, chrome trims and wiring. Thanks to Steve Burkinshaw for sourcing them. I now have to clear my workshop so that I can start the restoration. Hopefully it will be ready for 'Minis to Ireland' next year.

Fantastic, the lights actually came from me to Steve but it’s Jacco in Holland that deserves all the credit as he found a few NOS sets in he EU as I also needed them for my Mk2 Wood & Pickett. Great to hear the went to a good home.

Shell is done, interior is in progress but the mechanicals resto has stalled because of work and AKY. Here is a pic of the body that Fred and Co. Have restored at Nippycars. I should really start a resto tread.

Good news about finding the rare lights.....I have always thought the low profile of the Minisprint suited them perfectly, reminds me of the Minisprints often featured in my older brothers CCC magazines back in the 1960's, which originally got me interested in Minis!

Just to let folk know that I will be taking TGF800F to the Classic and Restoration show at the NEC next month if anyone is there be nice to meet up with some of you. Still as the day I collected it in 1992 and will be on the 'Barn Finds' display. Restoration to finally begin once I get it back home after the show.
