Hi,
Talking to my old Dad over Christmas we were reminiscing about a guy my Dad knew thru the building trade called Malcolm Allen (North Cotswolds) who used to race in the 70’s I guess. We think he had an accident at Castle Combe and was badly burnt, my Dad knew him well enough to ask him to test drive my first car before I bought it, a mk3 Mini 1000. (NDD 676M). Test drive conclusion was ‘it goes well enough but I only tried 2nd and 4th’!
Does anyone remember him from racing days?
Amateur racer Malcolm Allen, anyone remember?

Hi Kevin, I’m pleased to report that my uncle is alive and well and still living in the North Cotswolds!
The Maguire Mini shown here was prepared by Bernard Saunders from Bourton on the Water.

Hi
Thanks for posting!! I worked with Malcolm and my dad often in the school holidays. My only claim to fame whilst doing so I fell through the roof of a cottage in Long Compton!!
Never knew about Bernard and the Maguire...
