I sent my complaint last week... I even sat and waited 5 minutes just to rant off the Ebay-support team on chat!

Same reply, though..... Guess i need to find something else to find the 'ebay-time' with now...

Here is what I have sent them right now:
Good Morning, I am disappointed that the listing category I was mainly using, for both buying and selling, was lately totally canceled, I was basically spending all my free time browsing into the VINTAGE CAR PARTS category, and I strongly believe, together with a large number of fellow collectors, that you have made a damage both to our hobby and to eBay's balance by canceling it. I only wonder if a proper study has been done, and if the users were asked their input, before your decision was made, since it cannot prove other than a lose/lose situation. I truly hope that you will be able to reconsider your choice and reinstall VINTAGE CAR PARTS as a proper, separate, category.
Regards

And his back

just went into the US site, and send them this

Hello, I wite to you from Denmark, becourse the people in Ebay/UK are NOT up to the job, of maintaining a good costumer service. About 10 days ago was the Classic Car Part section removed, and this has caused an uproar, all over the Classic Car websites, people have contacted Ebay.UK but after 4-6 days we get the same computer generated mail. How stupid do these people think we are? these mails have been put out on all the threads, were this BAD decision is discussed, where people are laughing at them, there are poles running with 100% support to get the section back, but it dont seem to go through. I know I wont get an answer from this mail, but could someone, or who has something to say? please contact Ebay.UK to show them whats going on. I cant put any links inhere, but belive me, ALL forums over here are uproard about the decision to remove this category, there are hundreds & hundreds of people writing about this. Hope this goes to the right person.
Best regards Jens from Denmark

Dont know if it helps ?? but Fleabay is American, so why not try

Hit them in the pocket. I’ll be putting a couple of bits up here and here http://www.myminispares.co.uk (well done Towners) and won’t list anything else on ebay. I won’t be buying either (should be easy as I’m skint). A drop in revenue is about the only thing they’ll take any notice of. And if that fails I guess I’ll become a paid up member TMF and use their classified section.

Below are the Austin Mini entries from the Ebay EVL list. What fun sellers and buyers are going to have finding what cars to put in their listings. This lack of knowledge just shows how much Ebay are intrested in Classic Car parts.
The Morris (there are no Morris Minis) and Rover sections are even worse.

PS don't bother looking for Austin Seven either, according to Ebay that does not exist and Mini production started in 1959.

I used to look most days, but now can't be arsed. I'm sure ebay have their reasons for removing the category, probably profit driven, but I suspect they have shot themselves in the foot. Whether they reverse their decision remains to be seen, but I doubt it, despite the pressure from the classic car fraternity.

Heh.... this is what I've just got as reply.

Hello Paul,

Thank you for writing with your concern about the parts category
search. The Vintage Car and Truck Parts Categories have remained
essentially unchanged. That said, we would appreciate the
opportunity to take a close look at the difficulties you are facing,
would you please reply to this email with the exact search you are
trying to perform so we can better understand the obstacles you are
encountering.

Thank you for your response.

Cheers,
Bob Owens
