Yup they took them off the Healey line to use in Comps. I had one on MGJ.

Superb example of a very rare bit! Those TLC5 plugs are almost impossible to find nowadays.

I’d be interested to know more about this car. It may be genuine but questions about these cars and registrations rarely go down well.

I have no problems whatsoever about discussions about Red & White cars & their registrations. The problem is that any civilised discussion rarely stays civilised for long & soon descends into an unholy slanging match going over the same ground for the millionth time.

Facts about these cars & their history will always be welcome, opinions, hum, less so.

That's a great photo.
Any idea why the Smith's 10k rev counter is reading 6000 rpm?

Because David was so excited sitting in the car, he accidently hit the throttle whilst taking the picture
Yes I am a nerd: I am researching the Austrian Mini-racing scene of the 60s and 70s :ugeek:

The Smiths oil/water gauge looks to be the standard (at that time) MG Midget/MGB gauge which was readily available in Abingdon!

I assume the round button switch on the right of this shot is for the heated screen, but what is it off?

A is almost certainly the starter button.

B is possibly the screen, but I'm only guessing. Looks like a fairly standard Lucas pull switch.
