just a question i hope you do not mind as no body seems to know what the rear window for the unipower gt came from a bit small to be a spitfire one i think but maybe a mgb gt also i am finding it hard to source the head light rims but as a last resort can use honda postie bike ones i am in the process of making the body plug so i can make the molds then the body proper just doing this from measurements and photos cheers roger mcnab
Roger,
Unipower rear window is a bespoke item and only fitted to the Unipower, a bugger if you don't have a buck to make one from.
The only person that I am aware that has a buck for the rear window is Gerry Hulford.
With regard to the head lamp rims the Rims are hard to get, but the rims to Cibie Oscar spot lamps are near identical to the 'correct' ones the only difference is the screw fixing at the base of the headlamp rim.
I spent many many weeks searching for spares for my Unipower, when it is finally finished, and these are as good as you will get which are reasonably accessible.
Regards
Gary

Those convex Cibie 154 lamps do come up on EBay now and again as do the pods though often with the wrong holes for the wiring , which can be redrilled easy enough.

pete what a shame that you need to let the car go it is well out ofmy league to buy but one day i will get mine going and i hope it will be as good as the real thing except for the rover v8 power which iwill be able to control but from doing the mini first i will know what to do about the torque steer as the mini has equal length drive shafts but no diff locks as the 1800 diff had none of those fancy bits that i know of
well happy days with your next car
cheers roger

Yep we know that car and where it is, but yes the Cyprus story is a new one  People make all sorts of claims in real life so the internet/social media is no different! Maybe we’ve all been guilty of that to some degree by mistake but yes some hilarious claims on Facebook (and Twitter no doubt). There’s been some very spurious claims made about a couple of Unipower GTs over the years, no different than Minis, luckily mine was completely bullshit free other than the dealer in Belgium I bought it off falsely claiming it was an ex Le Mans car, though he’s not on his own in that department. I did try and put him straight before I even bought it but the silly arse still repainted repainted it yellow!

Was watching the latest Harry’s Garage video of the London Conours. At one point he’s walking towards a line of Dino’s and passed what I think was a yellow Unipower, he says something about it not being a Dino and moves on.

Anyone else notice it?
