Parts back from powder coating and chroming. The powder coat was 60% gloss and seems a bit too glossy.
Rear subframe made in the tiny British colony of Mowogia.
1/4 inch phillipshead screws for PD type pump. No, it's not dented...just the lighting and the heavy orange peel of the overly thick powdercoat.
Seats needing webbing
Air cleaner needs "Cooper" transfer
Chrome stuff
Clasps didn't need chroming...must have been thick coat from the factory.

I was thinking about getting my seat frames coated as well. How did it work out for you with the springs an the parts that pivot?

Parts move and roll fine. The powdercoating guy said the parts would wear better than paint would, but I expect the black will scrape off as original.
I'm going to try to re-web with the leather straps so I haven't started on that yet. The wire clips go in the holes OK. I rattle -canned the return springs.

Re: Shiney black and silver stuff
Had my stuff chromed in Medford, OR. There is chrome plating as well as chrome plating and polishing. It seems to cost about 5 times what I expected. My catches are good enough to not need redone. Not sure how the re-plating affects the bores the plunger and push button ride in. One of my catches is fake...boss cut off to suit my one-hole windows. Nick Rogers at MIN-E-BITZ has lots of catches at 20 GBP, so I probably should replace my fake one.
Would like to hear how the catches turn out and about how much it costs.

Re: Shiney black and silver stuff
Read my mind, I was looking at them and wondering if it would have a detrimental effect to the workings, I have an old broken one but there dosent seem to be a way to take it apart. Will let you know how I get on, and cheers for the info.
