Evening chaps

I know this has been discussed before (COY4D) & I’m aware it’s a kit of bits..
My question, is it worth buying as a nice car? (Excluding the myth!)

Lovely looking mini and the colour combo I'd go for if restoring any non original mini in the future as a road / rally bitsa.

Just a minor point - but a big point of you're going to take it out for a ride, but it looks like it's down into its hydro bump stops to me

Seems to be fairly priced although not sure about the floors, may be worth a look. Doesn't have the original engine though.

It’d be interesting to have some info from the seller. The extra holes here and there and the seats make me think it might have some period competition history.

£41,070 includes premium. The car was bid to £37,000, premium is 11%.

Others in the auction were a Mk2 998 Cooper which was bid to £16000. The plate looks familiar and the sunroof didn't seem to hold it back

Late registered Mk2S did not sell, with an estimate of £25-30,000, and is currently being offered at £26,350. I guess the sellers reserve was £24,000.

That Tweed Grey 1071 had lots of history, original shell, really rare colour for a 1071 BUT yes wrong S engine and it lost it's nice number plate onto another car from the same seller but I think was a good buy at £33K.

Lovely looking car.
Really enjoyed the TV series on Matthewsons recently, a family run business who really seem to enjoy what they do. They seem to offer a nice customer focused service.

These all seem to be fair prices........the “Speculative investor ” element of prices seems to be finally dropping away.....
