What thickness wire should you use on a Smiths tacho?

The wires for my revcounter (plus thrue, to coil) are std 1.5 Ø

But some of the wires, on the SMITHS accessorie tacho, are only 1 Ø .

But the ones to & from, the contact set, are always 1.5 Ø .

yes it was a real mean bugger, he had built a "nest" inside a cable connector :roll:
