You see those "Tudor" stickers/bottles on lots of restored Minis but I don't think they were ever fitted originally.
None of my own Minis ever had one and I still have a spare new bottle in an original BMC box which has no makers label on it
I think the Tudor bottles were an MG thing perhaps?

Have yo got a picture of how long the air tube is meant to be? I left it full length so I could chop it in situ. Definitely don’t want to remove it, it was a pig to fit..

I'll look for a better pic but it's something loads of restored cars miss, the hose on most if not all 65 cars is shorter, it stops at and is secured by a big C shaped bracket to the angled stiffener with a plastic grill on the end. I'm not sure on the exact dates of introduction nor deletion but was introduced no doubt because the long hose is too much of a squeeze in the engine bay and no doubt was discontinued due to unpleasant engine smells coming into the cabin. The one on this pic looks like it has been disconnected from it's mounting but you get the idea. I'll get a better photo off one of my own cars.

Good luck getting a repro hose past the regulator without having to squash it

Interesting that the regulator in Nick's picture is horizontal but should be vertical facing forwards. Might make the air hose pass by a bit easier.

Not true !.....that picture is from my old 1275 s that had never been touched.......[ even Mr Parnell agrees with me that he could be mistaken in the bible ]

The holes in the inner wing of HOY would say that it was positioned vertically though

Quite right, Mini's did not have that sticker and its the wrong washer bottle, that type was used on ADO16 and Sprite/Midget.

You decided not to keep the remote fuel gauge then It would have made an interesting talking point.

The question on the fresh air duct can I think be answered that certainly in year 65 my build was September and have noticed the same on an October 65 car that the fresh air hose only extended to this position it didn't go further to the front which appeared as such on later cars but not certain the change over date.

I think the mesh grille is the giveaway.

Don't forget that with this installation one would be better informed when the carbs started to dribble fuel down to the manifold!

Few little jobs left. Going to attempt the front screen this afternoon!
Front grill to Finnish,
Few small wiring bits to do,
Couple of interior trim bits to do,
Then finally a rolling road session at southams!

Particularly impressed with the panel gaps and bodywork.
