New comer to forum

Post by miniman2 »

Hi,
I'm new on the forum and am in the process of a nut and bolt restoration of a May 64' 1071 S. I guess I'll need help in finding the correct bits and pieces to complete the job. I will have for sale items I've collected over the years which will be surplus to requirement.

Kind regards Chris.

Hi Chris, I am on a Feb 64 1071 resto - but a little stalled by my 970 SDL having one issue after another and sapping my time. That's minis for you ;-)

Hi Andy,
What stage of the resto are you at on your car? Mine is a rolling car with running engine just the interior to do and fit the doors and glass.
It's Almond Green with Old English white roof, it has twin tanks but must have been fitted at a later date as the car left the factory with just the one. Will post photo's when I get chance - by the way I have a new complete Newton Commercial Mk1 interior trim kit in Cumulus Grey. It came with the car but I'm fitting the correct Dove Grey which is on order from N C.

Cheers Chris.

Welcome to the forum!

What a cracking project to get your teeth into. I wish I still had a 1071 :(
