Mk1 Mini Jem
Here's a picture of my new car; a 1969 Mini Jem mk1. Not many of these around I guess? The car is road legal and race ready

Re: Mk1 Mini Jem
I'll post a few more pictures soon. It has a 1293cc engine with a "home made" head, 3 sync SCCR box, 290 scatter cam and a 45 Weber. It's the quickest Mini I've ever driven
My plans are to fix it up a little bit and give it a new lick of paint. It had an encounter with a MGB at it's last race outing in 2005, so the right hand front wing needs sorting out. Im also uncertain if I'm going to keep the home made arches fitted to the car. I think the previous owner used the Mini Special arches and made a fiberglass mould out of them- which looks sort of odd. I would like the arches to blend more with the lines of the car. Maybe some W&P arches on the front would be better? What do you think?

Hi
Nice looking "beast" my guess would be group 5 arches, as they are made in glassfibre.
My car has these too, and they look simelar to yours, or maybe its just the photo?

Hard to say because the chassis numbers don't seem to follow a logical sequence. We know of about 30 including the Taylorspeed Jems made in Australia.

I guess a lot more than that were made, but shortly after Robin Statham took over the project he brought out the Mk.2 which is the most numerous version of the Jem. We reckon about 350 were made altogether.
