I like the idea of a trailer like that. It's low enough to get in the garage with the car on AND you can use it as a pair of ramps to work on under the car.

Finished the interior today. Really pleased with my homemade Dulles type dash. Not so happy with the Newton carpet which really does fit where it touches! Looking forward to getting the car to Beaulieu next weekend.

Looks good,

Newton do a front carpet for early cars which is flat and not moulded, maybe you could purchase one in the future as they sell front separate, I asked as want one for my Mk1,

Is that a Restall I see hiding away there in the driver's spot?

Well spotted Andy! Yes that’s a Restall type 1 drivers seat.

Finally getting close to being Goodwood ready. Can’t believe how good the car has turned out and massive thanks to everyone on this fantastic forum who have supplied parts and advice for the car.

Cheers Tim

So the decision was made after several changes of mind to part with DPU. A decision that wasn’t made lightly. The car was always meant to be a forever car which as you all know is why it took on the Cooper S appearance. So, why sell? I’ve known of a really special car for a few years but it was never on the cards to be sold until earlier this year when circumstances changed. The car in question is a really early 1071 S built in May 63. I will start a thread on the restoration of this car soon. Before it left me, DPU went back to almost standard SDL and I have to admit that it looked great! The car stayed in the country and has gone to a really enthusiastic owner.
