Gentlemen,
I'm working on the various lines (pipes?) from front to back today. I'm unsure if the brake line should be shaped to go through a clip that resides on the underside edge of the steering rack bracket, located on the toe board. Can anyone tell me the proper way to route this? I've attached a photo with an arrow to the clip I mention.
Disclaimer: The shell was quite rotten and required several donor parts to complete. I've no idea if the clip in question was standard on all models - or only some. The brake pipes on my car were probably not original, so the various bends might have been done creatively to keep the car on the road.
Thank you in advance,
Chris

Thank you Iain,
Your pic is most helpful!
I've not been able to find out what that clip is for - but concluded it probably wasn't for the brake pipe or the hydro pipe. Here's a pic (hopefully sized better than before) of what I've done so far.
If anyone sees glaring errors, other than the fact it's now a LHD car, don't hesitate to say so.
Thanks,
Chris

Doesn't the brake 'T' piece go down a bit? it bolts to thay 1/4 unf hole down and to the right of the hydro pipe? or is that just non-hydro cars?

Here's another couple of pictures which might help. The T piece was lower, below the cross member on early cars and as mimiman said on the cross member on non hydro cars.

Iain, your two pics of the underside and pipes - are they pre strip-down ?
Trying to sort out the routing of HOY's pipework before getting on with shell prep.
