Oh well that was enough to give me a kick up the arse, units coming out on Monday (with a bit of help from a friend !) and a fellow forum member has got me sorted with someone to do my engine :D

Not sure who "Them" are, I usually do my own. Only engine I had built was by MED & I'd certainly not use them again.

I'm not saying anything about the current suppliers until I have a completed, working engine in my car, but no doubt the full story will come out in the wash. Needless to say after 6 months faffing about, to come back to me 2 days before I was supposed to go down & see it dyno'd that they had no con rods was "a bit disappointing".
They're all the bloody same, Mark. In fact, if an engine builder ever got an engine back on time, I'd be suspicious that it hasn't had full attention to detail...which is where all the power and reliability are generated.
I know someone who has had engines in for work that have been on the shelf for 10 years or more...

I won't be in that position, if it isn't delivered to an agreed schedule I'll be taking a trip to court & kicking up a RIGHT STINK!

Entries seem pretty slow at the moment, seems to be the order of the day this year. Adam won't be joining us as he's running his Austin 7. Hopefully the class will fill up soon.

We have had a full class of 19 for the last 2 years, would be great to have the same again.

I see up to 10 cars now, I just want to make sure i've a car I can run in before I put my entry in, looks like 52 entries still left, My son Nick is out the weekend after in DJJ, his work are paying for an entry for him with being a local event, so don't really wanna break that for him.

encouraging entries are growing and I hope to join in !

That's a strange one John, unless its a long wheel base with seats in the back !

up to 15 entries now and a lot of cars very capable of high 60s and low 70s, my best time is 73.84 and that was in 2003 :o , 74.13 in KEC, so i've a bloody lot to do ! ;)

Well if any one wants to come up to Kendal with a trailer and take Nick's car there and back that could make 16   , i did enquire to insure it for him on the road but it was crazy money, but he's out at our local Hillclimb the week after and that's important to him.

He was foolish enough to buy a car that cant tow a trailer ! (long story), and with only being 20, you need to take a test to tow these days, so I'am 99.9% sure he will be sitting this one out ;)

Ill get him back out at Harewood before the end of the year though, subject to him spending all his earning's on women and ............... (oh to be 20 again !)

Nick could always share with you Steve, or are you worried about being humiliated by your Son.

Take it from me, you get used to it eventually
