I take that is not the rare sticker the seller refers to. I imagine that is behind the master cylinders just about visible.

all the early cars (i assume) had the paper sticker with the build info on.

they are very fragile though and flake off very easy.

ive got a car with one stuck on the passenger side

My Blue car has about 70% of the above sticker still on, it is the one visible on the rhs of the bulkhead as you look at the picture.

The VERY early Danish Mini,s had a little plate, sitting there (opposit side ofcourse)
It was a plate, that stated the dealers name, and who imported the car.
You can see these plates, on the 59 registre,s gallery, both Michaels car, and Clausager,s (Red one, now owned by BMW) has these plates.
So it might be a dealer badge ? just a thought.
