The grey 64 998 Cooper as restored by Practical Classics and given away as a competition prize.
Does anyone know if this car still exists?
Looking on the gov.uk sites, it isn't taxed or MOT'd and hasn't been for some considerable time.

I asked this ages ago. I think it went to Japan but the V5 stayed here. I have a feeling Broadspeed had it/exported it but I'm not sure.
I recall buying the mag in 1981 when they started it - what a shed. That's when you had your pick of really tidy ones for 750 quid.

I remember selling an early 1275 S engine for £175 around that time...

My old Man sold a 1071S short engine for 50 quid in 1977. It was all they were worth - at the time, a whole car was 150 quid if it was the usual rusty old nail.
