She’s nearly ready to go on the foor.
There’s a couple of bolts to change for nicer ones, rear brake pipes & front shock mounts..
On to the wiring loom next.

I needed to take some photos for the insurance today so me and Aaron bolted on some big visuals
This is not something I normally do as you think your closer to the finish than you really are.
We always find the last 20% of a project takes 80% of the time..

We need some altitude adjustment the hi-lows are on full low, there will never be enough wait to push the rear end down!

Thank you ken
Me & A are trying to build it without compromising (funds allowing) we’re trying to fit every nut, bolt, wire and pipe the best we can.
We are trading skills, parts and some cash with the trades I work with to build the best moke we can..
It won’t be to everybody’s taste but we’re enjoying ourselves..

It's looking amazing - like a brand new 'greatest hits' rather than a 'Bitza' by anyone's measure.

Only think I'm personally less keen on are the modern tread tyres, but hey, it's your car, so that's an opinion not a criticism.

When do you think it'll be ready? (and by that I mean, will it be at Blyton :D )

Hi Al
Weather depends but should be at blyton.
I agree about the tyres but I had them in stock and couldn’t justify the cost of donlop’s, I’ve already doubled the budget and it’s not finished! I’m normally not a fan of blockleys there to heavy but the new ones do look nice if I keep it I’ll upgrade when the 165’s come out..

No LSD just helical 333 with ms twin cross pin diff 3.7 cwp.. central oil pick up & HS outputs.
It cost me a fortune (don’t tell Mrs wife)
I’d probably have been better putting in the 1128 sc box, but that’s to noise in a moke.
I like restoring/ building cars I’ll probably not drive it much

Quick update..
The refurbished front seats are at paint along with the new fibreglass rears, I’d have liked metal rear seats as well but there like rocking horse shit..
The rear bumper has been extended to suit the lp883 spare wheel with 165 tyre.
Hopefully there will be green bits to fit next week.
The engine is almost ready to go in but I’ve lost my nos push rods!

Progress is slow..
Cleaning and painting, looking for those goodies I put in a safe place!
Still needs some attention to detail mainly those ugly plug leads!
Constructive criticism always welcome ..
