Our local rag's picture of the day is from 29 July 1970 with Austin Mini Mk2 PLJ2G parked outside WHO-DAT in Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth. Just a few yards up from the Austin dealers, Imperial Motors. PLJ2G is still on the system but not been taxed since February 1992. https://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/ ... like-this/

Makinen’s and Altonen’s Cooper Car Co. racer after it rolled in the Sandown Park 6 hr race in Australia on the 25-11-64. Their winning chances gone up in flames!

Rog PLJ2G this one went through my hands I think, it was bought from the original owner after she had run up the back of another car, we put a new front on it and flogged it on.

WOW that brings back some memories, Phil who ran "WHO DAT" also opened up in a tiny shop next to "Tyrrell & Green" in Southampton, we spent soo much money in his shop, I've a picy somewhere of my Moke parked on the pavement outside his shop.
Thanks for posting

How can a mini be made so ugly. Any idea where the photo was taken, Spain?

Yep....., that's what I was thinking of. But to digress a bit on this windy Friday morning. Anyone remember that lovely good looking actress, Leslie Ash who had some of this pouty lip treatment in the late 90's? Except that it went horribly wrong and she ended up with lips like cigarette rollers, just a tad more pouty than 66 travellers fish!!!!!
