Dunno if he's going to see that kind of cash but it's one of the nicest Mokes I've seen.
It makes mine look like some hack just tossed it together.....

Re: Holey Smoke! One nice Moke
It's in London, but advertised in $?
$32,500.00 USD = £20,373.11 GBP
probably not that far off the going rate for one that nice, but good god, that's a lot of pennies for a summer toy!
Moke's do seem to have gone daft in the last 2-3 years.

Very nice restoration of a good car, but I always preferred the MK1 myself.
I guess I'm resigned to the fact that I'll never own another Moke now the prices have gone so high.

Re: Holey Smoke! One nice Moke
there is a chap up here who has 3 scabby old ones in his shed. my only hope is he remains oblivious to the 'value' of them (not mmuch as they stand)

Anything to do with the prices quoted endlessly on WHEELER DEALERS?
At least my mk1 is going to be worth what I am spending on it

How about this Moke?

Yes, there is a Moke under there. And yes, the car is not left or right hand drive, it is center GP style!
For a race series here in the USA called 24 hours of Lemons race series.

Probably thinks us Yanks have money just falling out of our pockets.....Pandora wrote:It's in London, but advertised in $?

That would be the very top of the market here. I've seen a few sell for close to that but a couple of those were just average condition Mokes.... But, they were up for auction at events with a lot of red Italian cars 'n such with bored rich guys swingin their junk around to see who's got the biggest.
On this one the only faults I could find from the pictures:
1.) The solenoid looks like the cheap repro that's doomed to an early failure. (ask me how I know)
2.) Although the hard to find hippo nipples are covering the rear shock mounts, the even rarer hampster nipples are missing from the mirrors.
3.) I'm not sure the seat belts are correct. Did BMC offer retractables then? Oh, and the rear belts are missing in action
4.) If you're gonna take a close up photo of something reflective like let's say the headlamp ring, at least put a shirt on eh?
