The nice thing about this car is that the truth is told from the start, fair play, some history reshelled or not

"The FIRST international win by a Cooper S- before the much publicised Hopkirk/Monte Carlo success"
I'd not heard that before
I hope that Barrie's S makes A LOT of money!
Also one of the nicest blurbs I have ever read!

Re: Whizzo Williams Rally Mini For Sale
A new shell was sourced and the car rebuilt using the original components as far as possible
In real terms it is a replica and in fairness that is made clear from the above remark. At least being a replica or not, Barrie did drive this car after it was built which adds some Whizzo DNA to it is my thinking about this car.
I also hope it makes good money for the family if they still own it

A mini finishing a Welsh stage event was an achievement anyway and didn't the works team destruction test the number plates in Wales?
RIP Barrie. You were a legend who always took tie to chat with enthusiasts who will long remember their conversations with you.

Re: Whizzo Williams Rally Mini For Sale
I gather it is still tied up in Probate, no doubt something will become public in the future.
I'm locking this thread for now. Barrie was a good friend to our Blyton event & chewing over his estate just doesn't seem right to me.
