We’ll see how things go but we’re really pleased with how this year’s rally went, despite entries being a bit down on what we were expecting, given the success of the 2017 Tenth Anniversary one. The tests in particular went great. We knew we were onto a good thing as soon as we clapped eyes on the place but then to actually get it and everything go well, with no major problems, was fantastic. Apart from one overexcited resident on the route the evening leg went really well too. Big thanks again to everyone that made it all possible but mostly to those that actually stuck an entry in and entertained us! If anyone’s not aware, there are a load of great pics from the event on Downton Photography’s website here: https://photos.downtonphotography.com/p362530359
Cheers all.
Me and Andy Pullan agreed we would be there in 2019 all being well. As I have said before, both myself and Andy and Ali had come from competing the weekend before on the biggest road based historic event, with a large entry fee and a reputation for a 'proper' event. The Borders was as good, everyone involved should be very proud of themselves. Going to try and drum up some more entries, spoke to several people on the RAC, some who don't own Minis currently, who fancy having a go, all based on what they have heard of it.

Nice one Steve, your and Andy’s continued support is much appreciated
Me and Ali should be back too - and probably the up and coming new Proctor on the scene!
There seemed to be lots of interest amongst the Mini crews on the Devils, but yet so few of them turn that into entries, I will keep promoting though.
If it’s the only event I do in the year, it’s worth it - even with the grief of trying to get the car ready (running!) after its failed swimming attempt.

Cheers Graeme. Yes, we’ve been making overtures towards most of those guys for some time now. They’re fully engaged with what the HRCR have to offer it seems but chance they might fancy something a bit different at some stage. Fingers crossed anyway
