Castle Combe Autumn Classic - 6th October 2018

Rarely gets a mention this event but one of the best historic race meetings of the year for my money...hope to be there again this year.

Proper club racing at one of the best race circuits (you rarely see a boring race there!), great club atmosphere and this event seems to bring some great cars out.

There's also a pre '66 Historic Touring Car Race for Appendix K cars for the first time which should be a belter.

I spoke to John Harper he’s driving there this weekend.
He said the last time he drove there was in 1966, as he came over the crest he forgot to turn right at quarry it was a short race for him!

Hammering down with rain most of the day is the forecast, I've given it a miss sadly.

It dried at Lunch time Pete and by the second race the track was drying nicely, as cold as an airfield all day though! You missed some Great Racing.
