Mini Supers at Beaulieu
I am planning a get together of Mini Supers at this year's MCR Cooper 50th Day at Beaulieu, Sunday 12th June. The Super of course was launched together with the Cooper. We have been allocted an area near the arena. I have contacted a number of Super owners and so far have around ten cars expected. If you have a Super and would like to display it then please PM me if I have not already been in contact. Let me know as soon as possible so I can apply in advance for the discount-priced tickets. The cars do not have to be show condition, even restoration projects on a trailer will be welcome. I believe this to be the very first meeting ever of Supers!

Garry,
Great to hear that the Super stand is going ahead!
I hope that the days of Supers being seen as cheap & easy donors for Cooper S's have finally gone for ever.

Mark,
It will probably still happen but interestingly a Super which in recent years became an 'S' doner has through an amazing series of coincidences just been reunited with its original chassis plate and log book. It is to be eventually restored to its original condition.

Tickets are about to be ordered so anyone wishing to join the line-up of Supers with their car but has not yet been in touch please let me know very soon. So far we have nine cars, in various states of condition, so don't be shy!

Re: Mini Supers at Beaulieu
Thanks to all who braved the appalling weather to drive their Supers to Beaulieu. We had eight in all. It would have been most probably the largest line up of Supers since at the factory in 1962!
Thanks too to all the organizers and marshalls of this year's Cooper Day, who despite the weather, put on a fantastic event.

I think that French Woody has an Alexander conversion on it, it's one I was saving for a rainy day, but it ended up going to France. It's a really nice car.

Re: Mini Supers at Beaulieu
Yes the bars clip on. Quite easy to do with the Morris, a bit harder with the Austin. Some years ago at the IMM in Sweden a guy from Denmark had some NOS vertical bars for a Morris. I bought the lot.

Re: Mini Supers at Beaulieu
I was so pleased to get all three of mine there, despite the appalling weather. We did have quite a collection on that day, didn't we ? I am taking one to Newbury Classic Car Show this coming weekend and then in September another one (my 1961, Alfie) is going to Tilford Rural Life Centre. I also anticipate taking one to Stanford- MU (Humphrey)- the one that was there last year.
