Bo'ness Here We Come!

Post by mk1 »

Well, with another massive dollop of thanks to Rich (& nothing to Swiftune who failed to post my diff bolts out despite me paying for Special delivery & explaining what a tight schedule I was on), the Hoosley is back together & more or less ready for Bo'ness.

In the last 3 nights we have extracted the engine, stripped it, replaced the LSD, CW&P, & Clutch plate, put it back together & we had it running again by 9pm last night. By my reckoning that's about 7 hours in total.

I couldn't have done it without Rich who was brilliant, & more or less had the engine finished before I even got down to the shed last night!

So, all that's left to do is put 2 new bolts in the gear lever remote housing, give it a wash, pack up the tools & spares & get it on the trailer.

Adam & I are hoping to be up to Bo'ness early Friday evening, so if there is anyone who isn't far away who fancies a pint, please feel free to give us a shout.

Good work Mark & Rich!
I’m sure Adam helped by making lots of tea?

(unfortunately it’s not the first time I’ve heard that tale about Swiftune)

Ha, ha, Adam is one of those drivers who turns up for events, does for the day, chucks you his helmet & gloves & retires to the nearest hostelry.

I'd love to pop along and have a pint, but sadly it's a fair way from me.
But I'll be there in spirit.

That's Bo'ness Revival all done and dusted now.

A great weekend had by all with great company.

A massive well done to Adam Forster for beating everyone on his first outing here.

Any one interested in pictures check the Bo'ness Revival page on face book.

We had a brilliant time.

It was great to catch up with so many great folks.

We will certainly be back next year.
