I was fortunate enough to do the tour of the Mini production line at Longbridge about 15 years ago.
The tour started in the bodyshop (obviously) and I just stood in awe watching the guys assembling all the panels together to make the bodyshells.
What they did to the doors to make them fit was an eye opener, brutal is the word that comes to mind.
I could have stayed there all day watching them, but I was dragged out of there by the tour guide and thrown into the back of a Sherpa Minibus. Ahhh, the memories. :|
