It is bobbins but funnily enough I'm looking for a roll of the stuff they use on the Mk3 grill to stop my mk1 grill rubbing too. Failing all that, I'll be using windscreen washer tubing with a slot in it!!

I bought some of that recently of the net for a mk1 its cheap as chips I'l find a link for it now! Stops the moustache tickling the paint! Nothing worse than a un-tamed moustache!?

Hope that's some help! scroll down about 3/4 and the mini sections there.
Also I think its the same as the mk3 stuff, use a bit of heat to get it to form right, not to hot though!
