Though our leader and spiritual guide won't be able to attend himself this year I've volunteered to stand in and host the annual Mk1 Performance display at Bulee on June 12th.

Anyone interested in bringing a car please let me know and I'll make a list.

I would like to thank Pete massively for taking on the organisation of a MK1 stand at Beaulieu this year. It is very greatly appreciated. The MK1 stand has been very popular over the last few years & I was very sorry to have not been able to take it on this year.

Anyone who does go, I am certain that you will have an excellent time & I look forward to hearing all about it & seeing the pics.

That's me out I'm afraid, an inattentive driver pulling out of a junction has bowled me off my motorbike, no driving for 6 weeks or so due to a knackered leg and broken collaebone.

Bloody hell ! Yes I got hit by one of those last Summer, luckily I wasn't on a bike. Sorry you won't make it (or your car won't) and get well soon mate.

That's good news, JK did ask me for it a time or two but I just couldn't oblige so it's good to hear 'MEG's finally gonna make it into the line up. I hope you're looking forward to the "it shouldn't have Mk2 door handles" and " " '67 cars were never Surf Blue !" comments !

I know the feeling Pete, mine isnt running or MOT'd yet either. Still, at least the engine's in and the majority of the (new) electrics are working!

...the drive down should be interesting!

I know how you all feel, the engine only went back into mine last Saturday, hopefully it will be running this weekend, I did MOT it before I took the engine out as I thought it might be tight on time.
