Hi,
I live in Cape Town, South Africa and I have a Mk1 mini that I did a Toyota engine conversion on, I now regret having done the the conversion and would like to restore the car back to original or as close as possible. Not sure if someone can ID the chassis number and give me the year model and engine type.
The Chassis plate has the following on it:
Longbridge, Birmingham, England
and No. A-A2S7 - 216044A
When I purchased the car it had no engine installed.
Mk1 Chassis number Help

Re: Mk1 Chassis number Help
Thanks, would you be able to tell me if it was manufactured in the UK or South Africa?

South African cars have an upside down SA stamped into the offside flitch panel around where the regulator might go

Re: Mk1 Chassis number Help

Is there a list available that indicate build time based on the last 5 digits?
Cheers,
