oil pump spacer fabrication

Post by dhenry »

Hello,

I have a cam and spider drive oil pump for my 998cc. I am thinking about fabricating an oil pump spacer as I am having little luck finding one. Would a gasket be a suitable template? Also, does anyone know how thick it needs to be? I seem to remember 1/4" or 5/16" but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

The spacers should be readily available I would have thought.
The Mini Se7ens must surely use them in their motors.
Have you tried Swiftune or similar.
The spacer is 1/4 inch thick and is usually aluminium.
If you've got a 4 bolt pump you will need to drill and tap 2 new holes.
