1966 mk 1 Cooper S (on its way from USA)

Post by snowberrymini »

Hi all,

I just thought I'd share some details and photos of my new purchase/future project.

I wasn't looking to buy another car but I came across this one in an online ad and just really liked the look of it and next thing you know I own another mini....

It's a 1966 Austin Cooper S in Island Blue which was taken off the road in 1982. At that point the car was completely stripped and the shell was dipped and painted in primer. It looks as though every part is there to complete the rebuild including all new heritage replacement panels. I quickly did a deal with the seller who boxed everything up and delivered the car to the port in Savannah, Georgia and it's now awaiting onward shipping to Southampton which will hopefully happen soon enough.
